Following the success of the 2007, 2008, and 2009 events, ARC2010 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax will offer a wide variety of opportunities to learn about technical, operational and organizational challenges to the effective management, reclamation, restoration, and remediation of contaminated sites, as well as new approaches and techniques to address them.

The ARC2010 one-day workshop sessions on October 27, 2010 will provide technical and management specialists with an opportunity for in-depth learning on a variety of topics. The ARC2010 two-day conference on October 28 & 29, 2010 will feature two concurrent streams - it is encouraged that two or more representatives participate from each attending organization.

ARC2010 is an event for individuals and teams to share information, further knowledge, increase awareness, encourage education and investigation into problems and solutions in the many areas of land and waterway reclamation, restoration and rehabilitation. Examples of work this covers include: mine site reclamation, brownfield redevelopment, contaminated site restoration, erosion and sediment control planning, revegetation planning, wetland and soil quality research, landuse planning, landscape design, policy, regulation and fiscal planning, environmental risk and liability insurance policies, and more.
